Which states we cover
Every state here publishes its own scratch-off prize counts; we read them twice a day and keep them current. A state joins the cross-state comparisons once its numbers have checked out several times in a row.

States we don't cover
Not every lottery publishes enough to work with. Here is what is missing and why, so you are not left wondering where your state went.
- Maine publishes how many prizes are left, but never how many were printed — so there is no honest way to say what a ticket is worth.
- Montana does not publish prize counts we can read.
- North Dakota does not sell scratch-off tickets.
- Ohio keeps its prize counts behind a private connection its own website uses; we do not go around that.
- Tennessee does not publish prize counts we can read.
- Vermont publishes how many prizes are left, but never how many were printed — so there is no honest way to say what a ticket is worth.
- Wyoming does not sell scratch-off tickets.
